PlutoChannelEmpirePrivacy Policy
PlutoChannelEmpire is a Windows application for preparing and uploading videos to channels you connect. This policy describes the current desktop workflow and license service. A central channel dashboard and email-invitation system are not active.
Data we access and use
When you choose Connect YouTube, Google asks you to approve YouTube access and access to your verified Google account email. PlutoChannelEmpire uses YouTube access to identify the authorized channel; read channel, video, and schedule information; and upload, update, or schedule videos and thumbnails. It records the verified Google account email, Google account identifier, and channel ID locally to identify the connection. This record is not currently sent to an owner dashboard.
The app also processes your channel settings, video files, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, source-video information, and job history for the workflow you choose. Optional connections include Telegram for retrieving media and OpenAI for Smart thumbnail editing. When Smart thumbnail editing is enabled, the source thumbnail and video title are sent to OpenAI to request an edited thumbnail. You can disable that feature in the app.
Storage and security
The desktop app stores configuration, rendered media, job records, and Google OAuth credentials on your Windows computer. Current internal builds protect OAuth credentials and the local channel/email connection record with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). Reading an older plaintext token migrates it to a protected file before removing the older token file. Protect access to your Windows account and its files.
The license service receives an access key and generated installation identifier when you activate the app. It stores a hash of the key, the installation identifier, activation and last-use times, and hashed temporary sessions to enforce installation limits and revocation. The hosting provider may process network information such as IP addresses in service logs. The current desktop connection flow does not send your Google email, channel ID, videos, or OAuth token to the license service.
Sharing and retention
The app sends data to Google/YouTube, Telegram, and OpenAI only for the connected functions described above. It does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Google account identity and OAuth credentials are not sent to OpenAI. Each connected service handles data under its own privacy policy.
Local files remain on your computer until removed. Uninstalling the app may leave its data folder in place. License records remain on the private license service while access is administered; contact us to request deletion. Service providers may retain operational logs under their own policies.
Your choices
You can stop using a connected service, disable Smart thumbnails, revoke PlutoChannelEmpire's Google access in your Google Account, and request help locating and deleting local app data. Revoking Google access prevents further authorized YouTube actions until you reconnect. You can ask about license records or deletion at the contact address below.
